About RFnA
Ron Fogel began working backstage at the St. Louis Municipal Opera while he was still in high school, which led to him earning a position as the head electrician at the Grand Opera in Brevard, NC. Ron eventually moved to New York for his first Broadway show credit as an Assistant Electrician and Spot Operator. From there, Ron quickly worked his way up to Production Electrician, spending several years with positions on Broadway and nationally touring productions.
After meeting his wife, Karen, Ron took a job as a manager at BASH Theatrical Lighting Services in New Jersey, where he created a new fabrication division and an installation division, and worked on venues such as the Silver Legacy Hotel and Casino, and the El Dorado Showroom, as well as designing rigging components for many of the theatrical and special events supplied by BASH.
After BASH was sold to PRG in 1997, Ron worked a few years at a design firm in Manhattan, then co-founded a design-build company in NJ. Ron sold out to his partner at the end of 2001 and began Ron Fogel & Associates, LLC (RFnA) as a manufacturers' representative.
RFnA grew quickly, and added numerous staff to its list of associates, including Rebekah Gould as Vice President of Sales and Brian Schnurr as Tech Services Manager. Other talented and self-motivated associates include Emily Rehbein (Tech Scheduling), Frank Viskup (Sales), and Eric Eucker and Nicholas Fazio (Technicians).
In 2020, RFnA was purchased by Diversified, greatly expanding their territory and access to additonal lighting and control products, particularly in the architectural lighting realm.
Ron Fogel & Associates has had the pleasure of working with architects, engineers, designers, and theatre consultants for nearly 20 years. RFnA prides itself on the amazing relationships we have with our manufacturers, and are honored to place the names ETC, Lycian, Aquarii, TMB, The Light Source, StageMaker, Anolis, and SGM on our line card.
