Park Middle School
Park Middle school had an aging lighting system that sorely needed an update. Their incandescent fixtures were hard to access for maintenance, weren’t bright enough for their needs, and they needed a console that was easier for students and faculty to operate. Their existing dimmer rack was loud and cumbersome, needed repair, and the school really wanted to make the switch to LED technology.
Ron Fogel & Associates designed a brand new lighting system for the school with a new ETC Element 2 lighting console for control of the lighting system. A new ETC Unison DRd12 dimming rack was installed to provide power for the stage lighting and a new ETC Echo Relay Panel was provided for the house lighting. The Paradigm processor in the DRd rack allowed for multiple 5-button preset stations to be installed to recall pre-programmed lighting scenes. A new 7” Paradigm touchscreen with multiple pages allowed for more advanced control of the stage and house lighting, including the ability to integrate the lighting with the audio system. Fogel & Associates also provided new power and network distribution to new ETC ColorSource Spot and ColorSource PAR LED lighting fixtures. The new LED fixtures were far brighter, needed less maintenance, and gave them a far wider range of color options.
This project was achieved in collaboration with Generations Electrical, who also worked on the school’s sound and video systems.
